Membership, volunteering, updates and contact are four independent choices. Understand each one before deciding.
What is available now
This Phase 1 website does not yet process membership, volunteering, mailing-list or donation forms. We will not send you to an external provider until its eligibility terms, fees, privacy, accessibility and next steps can be explained here first.
For now, you can ask a question without creating an account. Contacting us does not make you a member, volunteer or subscriber and does not consent to marketing.
Membership
Membership will be a formal, separate choice for people who meet the published eligibility rules and accept the stated member expectations. Those rules, any age or residency restrictions, the membership fee and any concession or renewal terms have not yet been published, so applications are not open.
Before an application link appears, this page will state what information is required to assess and administer membership, who processes it, how long it is retained, when payment is taken, what confirmation follows and how to resign or avoid renewal.
Volunteering
Volunteering will not require membership or subscription to updates. Each role will explain the work, time commitment, relevant skills, support, expenses and any role-specific eligibility or safeguarding checks before someone expresses interest.
We will say what contact and availability information is needed to match and support volunteers, who can see it and what happens after an enquiry. Declining a role or stopping must be straightforward.
Email updates
Updates will be an optional mailing-list choice, separate from membership, volunteering and contact. The sign-up page will name the sender, describe the likely content and frequency, and explain which email-delivery provider receives the address and how the data is used and retained.
No box will be pre-ticked. A confirmation will reflect only the choice made, and every update will offer a straightforward unsubscribe route without requiring an account.
Questions and contact
Use the contact page for a question, correction, accessibility problem or informal idea. Send only the information needed for a reply. Our email providers process the message and addresses needed to deliver it, as explained in our privacy approach.
A contact message is not bundled with any other choice. We will not add the sender to updates, treat them as a volunteer or start a membership application unless they later choose that separate route.
Donations are separate and optional
Donations are not open on this site. Before any payment route launches, we will show the applicable donor eligibility rules, provider and transaction fees, refund terms, required compliance and contact data, how that data is shared and retained, and what happens after payment.
Contributions would support campaigning, technology, local organisation and administration. Any Where your money goes breakdown will use maintained financial records; we will not publish illustrative percentages. Donation choices will remain calm, editable and independent of membership or updates.
Your choice stays under your control
Each service will have its own clear action and privacy explanation. Choices will be unchecked by default, and refusing one will not silently enrol you in another. Confirmation pages will not introduce surprise marketing consent.
Before directing you to an external service, we will identify it and summarise the terms that matter here, with links to its privacy and accessibility information. Leaving, unsubscribing or withdrawing from an optional activity must be as clear as starting it.
